Job summary

The Orchards in Chester, WV is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join the day shift, performing general cleaning of resident living spaces and public areas. Responsibilities include cleaning apartments, common areas, dining rooms, and assisting with floor care as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and experience with floor cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning of resident’s apartments, room turnovers, hard floor surfaces, carpeted areas, building entrances, public-space, dining rooms, and staff work areas.
• Performs project work such as stripping and waxing floors, carpet extraction, spring cleaning and terminal cleaning.
• Adjusts work in progress when priority projects change.
• Provides Quality Assurance by maintaining daily cleaning schedules.

We are currently seeking a full time Housekeeper to work our dayshift at our Chester, WV or East Liverpool campus. Our housekeepers provide General cleaning and upkeep of resident living areas, public space to our residents as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning of resident’s apartments, room turnovers, hard floor surfaces, carpeted areas, building entrances, public-space, dining rooms, and staff work areas.
• Performs project work such as stripping and waxing floors, carpet extraction, spring cleaning and terminal cleaning.

Other Responsibilities

• Adjusts work in progress when priority projects change.
• Provides Quality Assurance by maintaining daily cleaning schedules.

The employee is regularly required to operate floor cleaning, buffing and extraction equipment. Climb or balance on ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch when assessing the need for cleaning needs and to place items in or get items from low drawers or shelves; talk or hear to give and receive instructions from residents and staff. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. A highschool diploma or GED is required, as well as the completion of state mandated annual training requirements.
