Redmont Health and Rehabilitation Center in Birmingham, AL seeks a detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our Environmental Service team. You will ensure cleanliness and sanitization of the community and help keep residents safe, supporting staff across the facility.

The role requires prior housekeeping or janitorial experience, strong attention to detail, physical ability to lift and move supplies, and a willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

• Knowledge of cleaning practices, supplies and equipment use.

• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift and carry supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and facility offices.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust resident care areas and hallways on a routine schedule.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste safely.
• Change bed linens, make beds, and restock resident rooms with necessary supplies.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, lounges, and nursing stations.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
