Job summary

Seaside Health System is seeking a dependable Housekeeping Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will contribute to infection prevention and patient experience within a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms and common areas, following safety protocols, and supporting a calm, respectful environment while adhering to hospital policies and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred.
• Healthcare or behavioral health experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, nursing stations, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
• Remove trash, biohazard materials, and soiled linens appropriately.
• Replenish housekeeping and restroom supplies.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect assigned areas daily.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with patients and staff.
• Support a calm, respectful, and therapeutic environment.
• Follow all hospital policies, OSHA guidelines, and sanitation standards.
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.
