Job summary

Hillside Terrace is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean, sanitary, and welcoming areas for residents, families, and visitors. Your work directly impacts comfort and safety in a homelike environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, dusting and sanitizing surfaces, disposing of waste, operating cleaning equipment, following schedules, and reporting safety concerns. The role requires physical stamina and teamwork, with a Monday–Friday 6am–2pm schedule and flexibility during

Qualifications

• Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and use cleaning tools.
• Manual dexterity to safely handle cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math for measurements and inventory.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Respectful, team-oriented approach toward coworkers, residents, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floors: sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
• Dust, wipe, and sanitize surfaces, fixtures, vents, and hard-to-reach areas.
• Dispose of waste and replenish supplies in assigned areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely (vacuums, floor polishers, etc.).
• Follow daily cleaning schedules and special requests accurately.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Work independently or as part of a team to maintain consistent standards.
• Rotate with Housekeeping team doing the facility Laundry linens and resident personal clothing.

About the Role

As a Housekeeper, you will ensure all assigned areas are clean, sanitary, and well-presented. Your work directly impacts our residents’ comfort and satisfaction, creating a homelike atmosphere where everyone feels valued. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to follow instructions while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality.

What You’ll Do

• Clean and maintain floors, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing

Required Qualifications

• Dependable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience in residential or commercial settings
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures
• Certification in cleaning or sanitation practices
• Experience with floor care equipment
• Strong organization and attention to detail
