Job summary

Mercy is seeking a House Supervisor to oversee nightly operations across patient care departments. You will serve as the on-site clinical and administrative leader, ensuring safe, smooth operations and real-time staffing decisions within the facility.

You will mentor teams, manage urgent events, and collaborate with leadership to uphold high-quality patient care. This role requires RN licensure, leadership experience, and a proactive, communicative approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hospital nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required before first shift.

The House Supervisor role also will be supervising staff, coordinating activities, addressing issues as they arise, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

When you're the House Supervisor, you...

• Serve as the on-site clinical and administrative leader for the facility during evenings/nights/weekends/holidays, ensuring safe, smooth operations across departments.
• Coordinate staffing, patient flow, and throughput decisions in real time.
• Lead response and coordination during urgent events (codes, rapid response, incidents) and escape to leaders as needed.
• Act as a hospital-wide resource, mentor, and problem-solver, supporting teams with clinical judgment and service recovery

Minimum Qualifications:

• Required Education: Graduate from a school of nursing.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Required Experience: Three years of hospital nursing experience.
• Preferred Experience: Five years of hospital nursing experience
• Required Licensure: Current RN (Registered Nurse) License in the applicable state of practice.
• Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS before beginning first shift
