Job summary

HonorHealth in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Administrative Representative for Nursing Administration to coordinate the Nursing Division across departments during the night shift (6P–6A, with possible day shifts). You will support nursing staff, physicians, patients and families to ensure continuous, high-quality care and smooth shift transitions.

The role emphasizes communication, resource management, and collaboration with Admitting and Medical Staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Minimum 5 years nursing experience.
  • 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
  • RN license in state or compact state required upon hire.
  • ACLS and BCLS certification required upon hire.
  • National certification within 1 year of hire or promotion date.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Nursing Division activities to ensure seamless care during a designated shift.
  • Evaluate supplies and equipment for each shift to ensure resources are available.
  • Support Nurse Managers and staff; represent administration in leadership absence.

Responsibilities: JOB SUMMARY

The Administrative Representative coordinates the activities of the Nursing Division across various departments to ensure the seamless delivery of quality care during a designated shift. This position plays a key role in facilitating strong relationships and communication between patients, families, nursing staff, physicians, and the broader community, supporting the overall patient care.

Essential Functions
  • Evaluate the availability of supplies and equipment necessary for each shift, including emergency equipment, ensuring all resources are in place for optimal patient care.
  • Assess nursing standards for each shift and organizational quality improvement issues.
  • Facilitate risk management programs, monitor and evaluate customer satisfaction, and initiate emergency plans when necessary.
  • Understand and uphold the role and accountability of nursing staff to achieve the highest level of nurse function, aligned with the defined organizational culture.
  • Act as a resource for Nurse Managers, unit staff, and other departments. Represent administration in the absence of leadership, facilitating and supporting organizational changes as needed.
  • Utilize evidence-based knowledge in decision-making processes to improve and maintain high-quality, cost-effective patient care across nursing departments.
  • Assist in the performance evaluation process for staffing resource personnel, while also evaluating education and leadership development programs for nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with the Admitting Department to facilitate patient placement.
  • Assist in the utilization review process and work closely with the Nurse Manager to assess and fulfill short- and long-term staffing needs.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of healthcare services to support necessary resources and ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients.
  • May initiate clinical treatments based on policies and procedures. Provide nursing care that meets the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social-cultural needs of patients and families through a family-centered approach to care delivery.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution within the Nursing Division and across other departments. Assist Public Relations in managing incidents and events.
  • Foster positive, collegial relationships with the Medical Staff and facilitate intra- and interdepartmental communication and problem-solving processes.
  • Communicates with SMH-N/SMH-O Administrative Representatives regarding staffing and other issues.
  • Ability to absorb high levels of change.

License and Certifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Certification Training Upon Hire Required

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - License State Licensure And/or Compact State Licensure State Licensure Upon Hire Required
  • Must obtain National certification within 1 year of hire or promotion date. 1 Year Required
