Job summary

Paradise Valley Hospital is seeking an experienced House Supervisor RN to provide administrative leadership across departments during the night shift. You will monitor care delivery, direct patient care activities, and supervise staff to ensure efficient operations and patient flow.

The role requires an RN license with BLS and ACLS within 30 days, plus prior supervisory experience and a solid background in acute care nursing. BSN is preferred; position offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who assumes administrative responsibility for the management of all department service functions on his/her shift.
• Makes frequent rounds throughout facility to monitor the delivery of care and direct patient care activities.
• Directly supervises staff house-wide and extends administrative scope when hospital leadership is absent.
• Ensures efficient operations and patient flow throughout the hospital and assists with scheduling after-hours procedures.
• Enhances the patient/family experience through supportive interactions and explanations of hospital policies.

The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who assumes administrative responsibility for the management of all department service functions on his/her shift. Makes frequent rounds throughout facility to monitor the delivery of care, oversee the quality of services and direct patient care activities as needed. Directly supervises, provides support to and communicates with all staff house-wide. In the absence of the Hospital Administrative staff, the administrative scope and responsibility is extended to all services within the hospital. Ensures efficient operations and patient flow throughout the hospital. Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope of practice and competence. Ensures all temporary agency personnel are deployed and oriented in compliance with hospital policy. Assist medical staff with scheduling after hour procedures and calling in stand-by call staff members. Enhances the patient/family experience through supportive interactions and explanations of hospital policies as needed.

Qualifications

1. Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
4. One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred.
5. Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience
6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $51.84 to $71.46. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
