Job summary

Onvo is seeking a House Person to support the housekeeping department by keeping public areas clean, stocked, and guest requests fulfilled promptly.

You will vacuum, mop, restock amenities, assist with linen handling, and help set up meeting spaces while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor. The role requires teamwork, physical stamina, and availability for 1 PM–9 PM shifts, including weekends.

Job Description:The House Person supports the housekeeping department by ensuring public areas are clean, supplies are stocked, and guest requests are fulfilled promptly. This role is crucial for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel.Responsibilities:* Clean and maintain all public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and meeting rooms, to company standards.* Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and polish surfaces as required.* Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated areas.* Restock public restrooms with supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels).* Deliver guest requests such as extra towels, toiletries, or other amenities.* Assist housekeepers with stripping beds and removing soiled linens from guest rooms as needed.* Transport clean linens and supplies to housekeeping carts and storage areas.* Monitor and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged property to management.* Assist with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and event spaces.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen closets and storage areas.* Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance in a friendly and professional manner.Qualifications:* Previous experience in a hotel housekeeping or janitorial role is a plus.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.* Good communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to lift, push, and pull moderate to heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) regularly.* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.Shift:Full Time; 1 PM - 9 PMDisclaimer:The list of Principal Duties, Essential Functions, and Basic Qualifications is illustrative but not exhaustive.
