Job summary

Residence Inn Exton, part of Highgate Hotels, LP, is seeking a House Attendant for a part-time hourly role in Exton, PA. You will help maintain cleanliness in the hotel and assist with guest needs, including luggage and required housekeeping duties.

The position requires physical stamina, reliable communication, and the ability to work with hotel standards. This role supports guest satisfaction and smooth daily operations in a busy hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.
• Ability to stand during the entire shift.
• Effective verbal and written communication with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Buff marble floors daily according to hotel standards.
• Shampoo carpets and furniture in public areas.
• Deliver items to guestrooms and assist guests.
• Handle luggage and Lost and Found items per hotel standards.
• Clean guestrooms as needed and maintain equipment in working order.
• Assist in all emergency procedures and ensure guest satisfaction.

Overview

The House Attendant is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all assigned areas and equipment. He/she is also responsible for delivering items to guestrooms (express checkout, newspapers - property specific, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Buff marble floors daily according to hotel standards.
• Shampoo carpets in the public areas according to hotel standards.
• Shampoo furniture as needed.
• Handle all requests for luggage assistance in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
• Handle items for \"Lost and Found\" according to hotel standards.
• Clean guestrooms as needed.
• Have knowledge of and assist in all emergency procedures.
• Maintain hotel equipment in proper working order.
• Maintain storage of hotel equipment in proper area.
• Complete special projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.

For Employees Based in Washington:

• 8 paid holidays per year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
• Paid Sick & Safe Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, with up to 72 hours of unused time carried over from one anniversary year to the next.

For Employees Based in Colorado:

• 8 paid holidays per year; employees working in the City of Denver receive 64 hours of designated holiday time per calendar year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
• 6 days or 48 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year, accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.

For Employees Based in California:

• 8 paid holidays per year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service, capped at 1.5x annual accrual rate; non-supervisory employees working in the City of Los Angeles accrue up to 22 days of Compensated Time Off, based on length of service capped at 192 hours of combined PST and CTO.
• Paid Sick Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, unused time is carried over from one anniversary year to the next up to a maximum of 80 hours; employees working in the City of Los Angeles are provided 40 hours of Paid Sick Time annually on their anniversary, unused time is not carried over from one anniversary year to the next.
