Job summary

AC Hotel Arlington National Landing seeks a House Person to clean and maintain public hotel areas in line with brand standards and EarthView sustainability practices. You will greet guests, inspect spaces, collect trash, and assist with linen transport.

This role may require standing long hours, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds, with weekend or holiday shifts. You will report maintenance issues and help room attendants during peak periods to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests in a courteous manner.
• Inspect assigned areas and perform cleaning tasks accordingly.
• Collect trash from service landings and dispose of it in outside dumpsters.
• Vacuum and dust guest corridors.
• Transport clean linen from floors to laundry collection site.
• Deliver clean linen to assigned sections.
• Report maintenance issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest areas.
• Respond to guest inquiries and assistance.
• Support room attendants during staffing shortages or peak periods.

Your Focus

• Greet and acknowledge guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Inspect assigned areas and perform cleaning tasks accordingly.
• Collect trash from the service landings and dispose of in outside trash dumpsters.
• Vacuum and dust guest corridors.
• Pick up bed and other linen from hotel floors and transport to the laundry collection site.
• Deliver clean linen to assigned sections.
• Report maintenance issues.

• Work as a room attendant when staffing shortages occur or during peak periods.

• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skill

Work Environment and Context

• Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays, weekends and alternate shifts.
