Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. seeks an Hourly Route Sales Representative to safely drive a step-van, deliver, and merchandise products while delivering excellent customer service to grocery and independent stores in the Perryopolis area.

Starting pay is $19.00–$20.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule (roughly 40–45 hours/week). This full-time role includes benefits and a retention bonus up to $250, plus eligibility for company 401k and vacation time.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license in current state of residence and a clean driving record.
• No more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years; no DUI in past 3 years.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass job-related assessment with a score of 70% or higher.
• All offers contingent on drug test; random drug testing program in operation.
• Able to read, write, understand and speak English.
• Stable work history with good references.
• Demonstrates sound judgment and ability to adapt to varying conditions.
• Strong communication, persuasion, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Sell, deliver, stock and merchandise Herr's brand snack foods to grocery stores and chains.
• Increase current customer sales volume and build relationships with decision makers.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate product knowledge.
• Solicit new accounts to expand the customer base.
• Execute promotional programs and arrange product displays.
• Process orders and invoices; manage cash handling and credit.
• Maintain daily product inventory and perform pre-trip vehicle safety checks.

We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the Hourly Route Sales position, joining our Perryopolis, PA team and serving the Clarksburg, WV area.

• HOURLY RATE: Starting at$19.00/hour based on experience
• SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday approximately 40-45 hours a week.

Job Summary:

Safely drives step-van delivery truck over any assigned route to sell, deliver, and merchandise products, as well as provide excellent customer service to a variety of grocery, mass merchandise, and independent chain stores.

Qualifications You Bring:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Constantly reaching; frequently sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, driving and lifting up to 32 pounds
• Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 48 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 40 pounds

Key Responsibilites

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES: (Other duties may be assigned)

• Sell, deliver, stock and merchandise Herr's brand snack foods to grocery retail and independent chain stores.
• Progressively increase current customer sales volume. This includes and is not limited to:
• Building relationships with key decision makers
• Providing excellent customer service
• Inquiring about customer needs
• Communicating product knowledge and suggestive selling
• Increase customer base by soliciting new accounts
• Execute company sponsored promotional programs by acquiring temporary and incremental product displays, shelving, and racks.
• Rotate and provide credit to accounts for stale or damaged items in order to provide the freshest product.
• Process orders by entering product codes into hand-held computers.
• Collect cash from customers and accurately process associated invoices
• Manage daily accuracy of product inventory.
• Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle safety inspection, and maintain a clean truck
