Job summary

Norman Public Schools is seeking an Hourly Tutor at Jefferson Elementary to support reading tutoring and student progress tracking. The role reports to the Building Principal and requires a current Oklahoma Teacher Certificate along with a Bachelor's degree in Education.

The tutor will analyze diagnostic results with school staff, maintain tutoring records, and uphold professional relationships with students, families, and educators. This hourly position includes training and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education required.
• Oklahoma teacher certification (Current Oklahoma Teacher Certificate) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Confer with school personnel to analyze diagnostic assessment results.
• Tutor students in reading.
• Maintain required records (student progress, assessment results, hours of tutoring, etc).
• Maintain a professional relationship with students, parents and educators.
• Participate in training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
