Job summary

Andy's Frozen Custard is seeking a Shift Manager to ensure smooth shift operations, lead by example, and train associates to deliver outstanding customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach, a friendly and energetic attitude, and the ability to manage front-line tasks while upholding our high standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• 6+ months of proven management experience in the food service industry or leadership role.
• Hands-on position requiring front-line work.
• Friendly, enthusiastic, and energetic personality.
• Lead by example and uphold high standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
• Full-time availability including late nights, weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Solid employment history with positive references.

Our Shift Managers are responsible for making sure each shift runs smoothly! Beyond running a shift, this person is heavily involved in training new associates, being an example of “remaining calm at all times”, opening and closing the store, and above all else, ensuring that our product is to the highest of standards and providing exceptional customer service.

Job Requirements

• Must be 18+ years of age to be considered for this position.
• 6+ months of proven management experience in the food service industry or leadership role in a related industry
• This is an extremely "hands on" position, so must be able to physically work all shifts up front taking care of our guests and staff. Good news: this is not an office job!
• Must be friendly, enthusiastic, and full of energy
• Must lead by example and uphold high standards of operation in a fast‑paced environment
• Must be a leader that helps their team grow through constant coaching and feedback
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be able to work full‑time and have open availability, including late nights, weekends and some holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Solid employment track record with positive references

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing and walking
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 55 pounds independently and safely
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
• Constant computer, point-of-sale register, and found equipment usage
• Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist and spine
• Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around fountain area
• Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work
• Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances
• Att ability to work outside in various weather conditions
