Cherry Creek School District is seeking an Hourly District Event Security professional to patrol venues, monitor spectators, and enforce district policies during events. This role requires vigilance, quick decision-making, and the ability to work varied hours including evenings and weekends.
As part of the District Security and Athletics Departments, incumbents may be assigned to different site locations to support operational needs and ensure a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsible for providing a safe and secure event environment and acting as a deterrent to unsafe or poor behavior by patrolling the venue, monitoring spectator behavior, enforcing school and District policies, intervening in physical encounters, monitoring security cameras, monitoring visitors, reporting unsafe or unhealthy conditions, and assisting administrators and/or public officials with emergency or investigative situations. May require varying work hours and days including evenings and weekends. This is a district wide assignment; incumbents will be hired by the District Security and Athletics Departments and assigned to specific site locations but may be re-located at the discretion of the District to meet operational effectiveness and needs.

The approximation of frequencies and time allocation percentages are flexible and subject to the requirements of the organization.

Maintain the safety and security of the event, act as a deterrent to unsafe or poor behavior by providing high visibility throughout the venue; walking and surveying common areas, grounds, and parking lots; intervening in verbal and physical encounters among the students; diffusing hostile situations; and enforcing safe school policies regarding weapons, tobacco, illegal substances, traffic rules, etc. Frequency: Daily

Discuss/mediate infractions with spectators, provide written accounts of unacceptable behavior/incidents to administrators. Report unsafe conditions and potential health and safety hazards to administrators/Incident Command/Law Enforcement. Frequency: Daily

May assist site administrators in the investigation of illegal activity within the venue by use of security cameras and performing dangerous substance, weapons, and drug searches. Assist staff and spectators during crisis situations. Frequency: Daily
