FMTC Safety in Gray, Louisiana, seeks an experienced Offshore Training Course Instructor to teach Sea Survival and HUET and other courses at our offshore safety centers.

You will bring offshore or maritime experience, be fluent in English, and teach in a creative, patient manner while keeping participants engaged.

The role offers a varied daily schedule and can be combined with other offshore employment; compensation aligns with our job scale and includes attractive benefits.

Safety Training Instructor

About us

FMTC Safety is the safety training center for Offshore training (OPITO & NOGEPA), Wind training (GWO), Maritime training (STCW), and Industry training. Every day people are prepared to work and live safely on a drilling platform or a ship.

In addition to our Gray location, we also have various locations worldwide; Schiphol Amsterdam(NL), Lage Zwaluwe (NL), IJmuiden (NL), Houston (USA), Dunkirk (FR) and Ras Tanura (KSA).

What does your day as an Offshore Training Course Instructor at FMTC look like?

Every day is a new challenge. You arrive at one of our unique locations and happily, you start your day. What course is planned for today? A Sea Survival? A HUET, where the participants need to escape from a helicopter simulator while it’s in the water? Or maybe something totally different. In any case, you teach all the courses in a good‑natured and creative manner.

After teaching the theory, you support the participants of the course in putting the theory into practice. All courses are simulated in a realistic setting.

• You are proficient in the English language
