Job summary

NEO Logistics LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Hotshot Driver to safely operate a truck, secure loads, and meet schedule targets while complying with federal, state, and company regulations. You will inspect vehicles, plan routes, and maintain logs.

You will coordinate with dispatchers, brokers, and customers, provide updates, and uphold professional conduct on and off the road. Local to interstate routes across the United States.

Qualifications

• Strong truck driving skills and experience operating hotshot or similar trucks.
• Valid CDL Class A license in good standing and knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Effective communication with dispatchers, brokers, and customers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hotshot experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and equipment daily and ensure loads are secured.
• Plan routes and meet pickup/delivery schedules.
• Communicate updates with dispatchers, brokers, and customers during transit.
• Maintain logs and shipment documentation; represent the company professionally.

Role Description

The Hotshot Driver role is a full-time, on-site position based in Houston, TX. This role involves safely operating a truck to transport hotshot freight to various destinations, following all federal, state, and company regulations. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles and equipment, securing loads, planning routes, and meeting scheduled pickup and delivery times. The Hotshot Driver communicates regularly with dispatchers, brokers, and customers to provide updates and resolve issues during transit. The driver is also responsible for maintaining logs, completing shipment documentation, and representing NEO Logistics LLC with professionalism on and off the road.

Qualifications

• Strong truck driving skills and experience operating hotshot or similar trucks safely and efficiently.
• Valid CDL Class A license in good standing and thorough knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, brokers, and customers.
• Customer service skills to ensure professional, respectful interactions and high service quality.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass required background checks and drug screenings.
• Ability to lift and secure freight, perform basic vehicle inspections, and handle documentation accurately.
• Familiarity with GPS and routing tools, and flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; previous hotshot or commercial driving experience is preferred.
