Job summary

Aparium Hotel Group's Surety Hotel is seeking a hands-on Engineer to maintain and repair hotel systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life-safety equipment across guest rooms, public areas and event spaces. You will develop preventive maintenance and work closely with a team of peers in a collaborative, ego-free environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of building maintenance experience; hotel engineering experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and general maintenance practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
• Flexibility to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Evening availability for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, event spaces, and back-of-house operations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, mechanical equipment, and life safety systems.
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs to ensure the long-term health of the property.
• Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
• Assist with setup, installation, and movement of equipment, furniture, fixtures, and other hotel assets.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and team members.
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
