Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Staff Accountant for the Freehand Miami, a vibrant hotel in Miami Beach. The role supports the Controller in directing hotel financial activities, ensuring GAAP compliance and timely reporting.

On-site position with growth opportunities across our portfolio. The ideal candidate will have an accounting background, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to interact with department heads and the executive team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• Accounting and hotel industry experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing the financial activities of the hotel and prepare financial reports per GAAP and HEI standards.
• Post city ledger payments, reconcile accounts, and perform follow-up billing on open items.
• Reconcile credit card backups, set up new vendor accounts, and ensure timely invoice processing.
