Job summary

Valley Hospitality Services is seeking a Security Guard to protect people and property. You will patrol, monitor cameras, and report suspicious activity to authorities.

After hours, you will check doors and windows, investigate reports of suspicious activity, and detain individuals until law enforcement arrives. You may escort discharged staff or trespassers off the premises. A high school diploma is preferred, with basic math and strong communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Detail oriented and strong written/verbal communication required.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Must pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to local authorities.
• Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds.
• Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
• After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.
• Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.
• Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.
• Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
