Job summary

The Lodge at Ventana Canyon in Tucson, AZ is hiring a ROOM ATTENDANT to clean and service guest rooms to high standards. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a friendly, guest-focused approach.

• Obtain a list of vacant rooms that need to be cleaned.
• Prepare a housekeeping cart with the required supplies necessary to service the rooms.
• Clean all rooms by emptying trash, making beds, dusting furniture, washing windows, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor patios.
• Remove all room service dishes.
• Reports items that are broken or need repair.
• Provide courteous guest service.
• Replenishes bathroom amenities, writing supplies, and guest information.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Interact and communicate with guests and fellow employees in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager.
• Attend staff meetings.

The Room Attendant ensures hotel guest satisfaction by cleaning and servicing guest rooms to high standards, including making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing amenities. They operate in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to safety/sanitation protocols.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Obtains a list of vacant rooms that need to be cleaned.
• Prepare a housekeeping cart with the required supplies necessary to service the rooms (i.e., sheets, towels, robes, rugs, bathroom amenities, writing supplies, guest information, cleaning supplies, vacuum, etc.).
• Clean all rooms as required by emptying trash, making beds, dusting furniture, washing windows, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor patios.
• Remove all room service dishes.
• Reports items that are broken or need repair.
• Provide courteous guest service.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to speak and understand basic English.
• Must be flexible working weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
