Job summary

Renaissance Meadowlands Hotel is seeking an experienced Room Attendant in Rutherford, NJ. You will maintain guest rooms and the building to ensure a safe, clean experience for guests, associates, and vendors.

As part of HEI Hotels & Resorts, you will work a flexible schedule including days, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities for growth within a diverse, inclusive hospitality team.

Qualifications

• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces and work in confined spaces.
• Team player and willing to pitch in to help coworkers.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents and operation of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Adapt communication style for supervisors, coworkers, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathrooms, walls, floors, and surfaces using cleaning agents.
• Follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Strip beds and change linens, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Dust furniture, pictures, shelves, and ledges.
• Vacuum room and empty trash.
• Restock amenities and supplies in guest rooms.
• Sign for keys, assign rooms, and restock heavy cart.
• Maintain regular attendance and flexibility in schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
