Job summary

Nova Hotel Renovation & Construction is seeking a Hotel Project Estimator who can turn complex scopes into clear, competitive estimates for hotel renovation and construction projects. You’ll work with project managers and the preconstruction team to develop detailed estimates from scope review through bid development.

You’ll review drawings, solicit vendor pricing, identify scope gaps and cost risks, and travel across the United States for scope walks, while refining budgets as designs evolve

Qualifications

• Strong estimating experience in hospitality or commercial projects.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Experience with estimating software and Excel or similar tools.
• Strong communication with project teams, vendors, and clients.

• Education in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Willingness to travel for project scope walks and remote work within the US.

The role

You’ll work alongside our project managers and preconstruction team to develop detailed estimates for hotel renovation and construction projects, from initial scope review through bid development and revisions.

You’ll:

• Build comprehensive estimates covering materials, labor, subcontractor scopes, and project logistics.
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications, and design documents.
• Solicit, compare, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, cost risks, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Refine budgets as designs, pricing, and project conditions evolve.
• Clearly communicate estimate assumptions, exclusions, and clarifications to internal teams and clients.
• Maintain estimating tools, pricing databases, and project reporting.
• Travel for project scope walks to understand what the drawings can’t always tell you.

What you bring

You’re comfortable in a spreadsheet—and just as comfortable asking the right questions on a jobsite.

• Strong construction estimating experience in hospitality or commercial projects.
• Cost-management and budgeting skills, with a disciplined eye for detail.
• The ability to interpret drawings and specifications across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Experience with construction estimating software and Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
• Clear, effective communication with project teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Relevant education in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field—or equivalent practical field experience.
• The ability to work remotely within the United States, collaborate across teams, and travel as project needs require.

Knowledge of hotel renovation processes, building materials, and trade pricing is a plus.
