Job summary

Tru by Hilton St. George is seeking a dependable Houseman to help maintain clean, welcoming spaces and support the housekeeping team. You’ll ensure public areas meet brand standards and assist across operations to keep guests comfortable throughout their stay.

In this active role, you’ll sweep, mop, sanitize elevators and restrooms, stock towels, assist with linen delivery, and report maintenance concerns. A strong work ethic and detail orientation help deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• HD or equivalent preferred.
• No previous experience required; housekeeping, janitorial, hotel, or similar experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established standards and instructions.
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Positive and professional communication with guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist other departments.
• Guest-focused attitude with an understanding of excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Availability to work some weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the hotel lobby, common areas, office nooks, hallways, and other guest-accessible spaces.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and clean floors according to hotel standards.
• Clean and sanitize elevators multiple times throughout the day.
• Clean public restrooms and maintain them regularly throughout each shift.
• Shampoo carpets and upholstered furniture in public areas as needed.
• Stock and replenish pool towels throughout the day.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables from designated areas.
• Restock housekeeping supplies, linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning products as needed.
• Assist housekeeping team members with linen and towel delivery, stripping rooms, and other housekeeping duties.
• Help coordinate and oversee Facility Attendant tasks as assigned.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns to the appropriate team.
