Job summary

Capital Vacations in Sedona, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Supervisor. The role involves keeping units and common areas in proper working order and performing minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.

The candidate must be able to work weekends and some nights until 11pm, lift up to 100 pounds, read safety instructions, and use hand and power tools. Prior resort or hotel maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 6–12 months experience in general maintenance positions.
• Strong mechanical skills with knowledge across electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools.
• Physical ability to perform repairs and lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally 100 pounds.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals; write routine reports; communicate with guests and employees.
• Experience in resort or hotel operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Re-key, replace and repair door locks as required.
• Perform minor repairs to toilets, sinks, laundry rooms, sump pumps, faucets, and showers.
• Repair or replace stove burners as needed.
• Repair or replace exhaust fans as needed.
• Replace switches, plugs, circuit breakers and light fixtures as needed.
• Replace light bulbs and HVAC filters as needed.
• Oils and lubricates motors; replace fan belts as needed.
• Order repair and replacement materials as needed.
• Participate in health and safety meetings/classes.
• Follow all rules in the employee handbook.
