Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Tech to perform general building maintenance and repairs across hotel facilities. You will handle preventative maintenance, inspect HVAC and electrical systems, and refurbish furniture while ensuring safety and cleanliness of the property.

The role requires vocational training and at least two years of maintenance experience, plus a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Weekend and holiday work may be needed.

Qualifications

• Advanced vocational training plus two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction.
• Background in extended stay or apartment maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, electricity, and equipment mechanics.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; read manuals and safety information.
• Math skills including budgeting and variances; strong problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 pounds; flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work across hotel facilities interior and exterior.
• Carry out preventative maintenance as outlined in the PM Works program.
• Inspect and service HVAC, lighting, doors, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures and paint as needed in guest areas.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of exteriors, grounds, and public spaces.
• Work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
