Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Fort Walton Beach is seeking a maintenance professional to assist with the operation, maintenance and repair of hotel equipment. The role includes light fixture changes, preventive maintenance of guest rooms, HVAC, and pool areas, plus plumbing and general facility repairs.

Ideal candidates have experience in a hotel or related field, a High School diploma, and trades licenses where applicable. Valid drivers license and good MVR are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record)" property specific.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Change out light bulbs and perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms (vinyl repair, touch-up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repairs).
• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, pool and hot tub.
• Perform plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair, preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply; monitor energy conservation; repair vacuums and other small equipment on demand.
• Follow up on alarms to determine location and cause; report findings to Front Desk.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
