Job summary

Stonebridge Hospitality Management in New York, NY is seeking a Maintenance Attendant to support hotel maintenance operations, ensure facilities and equipment function properly, and assist with preventative maintenance tasks and repairs. You will monitor utility consumption, log findings, and help keep guest areas and public spaces safe and welcoming.

The role requires adherence to safety procedures and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of maintenance systems including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Familiarity with safety procedures including lockout-tagout is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and courteous service at all times.
• Assist with maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks across refrigeration, heating, plumbing and A/C units.
• Monitor electric, gas, and water consumption; report issues.
• Ensure maintenance projects are completed on time and to specifications.
• Adhere to safety procedures, including lockout-tagout, per OSHA standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas as scheduled.
• Conduct maintenance checks and log findings.
• Report safety and security concerns to Chief Engineer or Manager on Duty.
• Maintain key inventory and follow security procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Participate in ongoing maintenance programs for event spaces and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and storage areas.
