Job summary

The Maui Seaside Hotel in Maui, Hawaii is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs and inspections across all hotel assets. You’ll respond to guest requests, maintain mechanical systems, and help ensure guest rooms and public areas meet Maui Seaside Hotel standards.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in building maintenance, proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC or carpentry, and strong safety and customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in building maintenance or related field.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC or carpentry is required.
• Knowledge of room preventive maintenance programs is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests in a courteous, efficient, and safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Maintain rooms and public areas; repair fixtures and systems and apply basic finishes as needed.
• Prepare and execute daily maintenance rounds and preventive maintenance carts.
• Maintain inventory and report parts used; log readings and maintenance actions.
• Assist with pool/spa maintenance and safe chemical handling.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with supervisors as necessary.
