Residence Inn / SpringHill Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Carmel is seeking a reliable Hotel Maintenance Staff / Maintenance Technician to care for guest rooms, facilities, and building systems in Carmel, IN. You will handle electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks to keep the property safe, functional, and comfortable for guests and staff.

Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, facility, or building maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond to maintenance emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and equipment.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs efficiently.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Assist with the installation, replacement, and repair of equipment and fixtures.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of completed maintenance work.
• Respond to emergency situations, including power outages, water leaks, and plumbing issues.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are required.
• Maintain maintenance tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow all health, safety, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness and overall condition of hotel facilities and infrastructure.
• Identify potential maintenance problems and address them before they become major issues.
