Job summary

Sandpiper Hospitality (SH) is seeking a Maintenance Attendant to keep extended stay properties in top condition. You will handle light and preventive maintenance inside and outside, ensuring safety and guest satisfaction while supporting brand standards.

The role includes basic plumbing/electrical tasks, studio maintenance, grounds care, laundry duties, and cross-training for other attendants. On-call emergencies and adherence to standards are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance tasks.
• A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and guest satisfaction.
• Excellent dependability and sense of urgency in meeting deadlines and responding to calls.
• Willingness to perform housekeeping and laundry duties as required.
• Preferred: experience in hotel, apartment, or extended stay maintenance; familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment such as carpet shampooers.

Responsibilities

• Essential light and preventive maintenance of the facility interior and exterior, ensuring compliance with Value Place Brand Standards.
• Complete light plumbing (toilet repair, snaking, faucet repair) and light electrical tasks (changing outlets/switches).
• Execute Studio Preventive Maintenance Programs (painting, caulking, janitorial work) including room prep after guest move-out and pest identification.
• Maintain and clean public spaces, including parking lot upkeep and quarterly preventive maintenance program.
• Perform laundry duties (sorting, washing, folding linen/towels) and cross-train for Move-Out, Stay-Over, and Flex Attendants as needed.
• Be On-Call for emergencies; time clocked in/out and treated as working time.
