Home2 Suites by Hilton in Michigan is seeking a professional Hotel Maintenance to join our team. You will be responsible for caring for the hotel’s infrastructure, coordinating maintenance personnel, and planning renovation and repair projects.

The ideal candidate has experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; must be organized and committed to health and safety standards. Your main goal is to keep the hotel safe and fully functional for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or trade school equivalent preferred; commensurate experience considered.
• Supervisory maintenance or construction management experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose root causes and propose solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Strong communication skills with staff, vendors, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Inspect hotel regularly to ensure safety standards are met.
• Arrange routine maintenance in rooms and public areas.
• Undertake repair and maintenance projects with minimal guest disruption.
• Supervise a team of maintenance technicians.
• Update procedures and manuals as needed.
• Communicate problems and provide resolutions to management.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
• Maintain budgets, expenses, and activity logs.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree, Associate Degree or certificate of completion from a trade school preferred; or commensurate education and experience accepted

Supervisory maintenance or construction management experience preferred

Ability to quickly diagnose the root cause of failures and suggest appropriate solutions

In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and residents

As the Hotel Maintenance you should have experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. You must be organized and committed to meeting health and safety standards at all times.

Your primary goal is to ensure our hotel is safe and functional for guests and employees.

Responsibilities
