Job summary

Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Springfield, OH is seeking a Maintenance Worker to handle routine and preventive upkeep of guest rooms, interior and exterior facilities, and hotel equipment. You will perform painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical tasks, and respond to maintenance requests to keep operations smooth.

The role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand/walk for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Experience with painting and drywall is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
• Install electrical wiring and devices.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Performs painting and drywall repair throughout the building.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
• Assists with renovation and remodeling of facilities.
• Basic plumbing repairs to toilets and faucets as needed.
• Maintains records of scheduled maintenance.
• Communicates daily with internal departments.
• Responds to Front Office and Housekeeping requests promptly.
• Provides updates on various projects to team members and management.
• Keeps costs in mind when performing duties.
• Maintains a well-organized work area.
• Does not enter guest rooms without vacancy status check.
• Maintains knowledge of chemicals used and SSDS procedures.
• Practice lock-out/tag-out and Compass Points daily.
• Keeps track of company tools and returns them after use.
