Job summary

MCR is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer for Hyatt Place Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, FL. You will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventative maintenance, and uphold safety standards in a busy hotel environment. A technical background and a can-do attitude are essential.

The role requires 2 years of related experience, strong communication, and the ability to follow procedures under pressure. Flexibility for varied shifts and customer-focused service is expected.

Qualifications

• Technical, Trade or Vocational school degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Effective listening, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns with co-workers and guests.
• Clear communication of information.
• Desire to serve all guests.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests for general repairs; document completion via the electronic work order platform.
• Maintain room and public spaces per Preventative Maintenance program schedule.
• Follow safety measures and report emergencies to supervisor and General Manager.
• Conduct full property walks at shift start/end; note and complete maintenance needs.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and well-organized during shift.
