Job summary

The Dalmar, Fort Lauderdale, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is seeking an Engineer to perform preventive and repair maintenance to uphold quality and sustainability standards while ensuring guests receive warm, friendly service. The role covers room inspections, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and equipment repairs to maintain operations.

Grow through a defined path from Engineer to Chief Engineer, with opportunities for another shifts and cross-functional support during peak check-in/out

Qualifications

• High School diploma and Trade school coursework in related field preferred.
• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rooms and identify repair needs.
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, switches, outlets, bulbs and fixtures.
• Repair furniture.
• Install, replace and program televisions.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps and perform preventive maintenance.
• Trace and repair all types of water lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Work to local, state and Federal codes and safety standards.
• Support guest satisfaction goals and assist during peak periods or staffing shortages.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear protective equipment.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
