Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Miami is seeking an Engineer to maintain the property’s electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facilities. You will complete work orders, participate in preventive maintenance, and support department teams to ensure guest room and public area readiness.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, trade license preferred, and a valid driver’s license. Availability to work days, weekends, nights, and holidays is essential in this hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Ability to work days, weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general condition of the property across electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and painting tasks.
• Complete maintenance work orders from all departments promptly.
• Participate in the preventive maintenance program for building equipment and rooms.
• Assist with operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Follow up on alarms and report findings to the Front Desk; perform other tasks as assigned.
