Job summary

Main & Vine is seeking a Hotel Engineer to preserve the building’s operational condition and safety, working closely with the Chief Engineer. The role requires a practical, detail-oriented professional able to work autonomously and coordinate with housekeeping to keep rooms and systems in top shape.

The position emphasizes maintenance of electrical, heating, plumbing, and other systems, plus proactive preventative care and timely repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years' related experience
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
• General knowledge of maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Report directly to Chief Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor
• Survey building and repair mechanical systems to ensure health and safety standards
• Perform maintenance of all electrical systems
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (locks, windows, etc.)
• Conduct ongoing room preventative maintenance program
• Resolve maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders
• General upkeep such as landscaping, caulking, painting, etc.
• Work with Housekeeping to ensure guest rooms equipment functions properly
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Inspect property to identify needs
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Chief Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor
