Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Atlantic City, NJ is seeking a maintenance professional to support operation, maintenance and repair of hotel equipment across guest rooms and public spaces. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and assisting with repairs and energy conservation.

Ideal candidates have prior hotel experience, a High School diploma, and trades licensing. A valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR are required for this on-site role with

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or a related field.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record).

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Change out light bulbs and perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms (vinyl repair, touch up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repairs, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, pool and hot tub.
• Perform plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair, and preventative maintenance on exhaust fans; monitor energy conservation; repair vacuums and other small equipment on request.
• Follow up on alarms to determine location and cause, determine emergency status and report findings to the Front Desk.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Change out light bulbs; perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms to include: vinyl repair touch up paint minor furniture repair tub caulking tile repairs etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines refrigerators kitchen equipment laundry equipment HVAC guestrooms meeting rooms the swimming pool and hot tub.
• Perform plumbing repair laundry equipment repair preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply; monitor energy conservation; repair vacuum cleaners and any other small equipment upon request.
• Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause - determine emergency status and report to the Front Desk with findings.
• Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing electrical HVAC carpentry etc.).
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record) property specific.
