Sandpiper Hospitality is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Attendant to keep our extended stay properties in top condition. You will perform light and preventive maintenance inside and outside, ensuring compliance with brand standards and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Essential light & preventive maintenance: interior and exterior upkeep to brand standards.
• Plumbing & electrical: light toilet repair, snaking, faucet repair, outlet changes.
• Studio maintenance: painting, caulking, janitorial tasks, room prep after checkout.
• Grounds & common areas: parking lot upkeep and quarterly preventive maintenance.
• Laundry duties, laundry/housekeeping tasks as needed; cross-training for coverage.
• Emergency response: on-call; clock-in/out for emergencies; time counts as work time.
• Adherence to standards: perform duties as assigned by supervision.

This is a critical, hands-on role where you are directly responsible for the general and preventive maintenance of the facility, both inside and out. Your attention to detail ensures a flawless experience for our guests and supports our “We Are Inspired – Service” value every day. You are the frontline problem-solver who keeps our properties operating smoothly!

Your Operational Duties

Essential Light & Preventive Maintenance: Perform all light and preventive maintenance of the facility interior and exterior, ensuring compliance with “Value Place Brand Standards”.

Plumbing & Electrical: Complete light plumbing (e.g., toilet repair, snaking, faucet repair) and light electrical tasks (e.g., changing an outlet or wall switch).

Studio Maintenance: Execute Studio Preventive Maintenance Programs (painting, caulking, janitorial work), including room preparation after a guest moves out, and identifying pest issues.

Grounds & Common Areas: Maintain and clean public spaces, including parking lot upkeep, and execute the Quarterly Preventative Maintenance Program.

Property Support & Cross-Training: Perform Laundry Duties (sorting, washing, and folding linen/terry, cleaning facilities). Cross-train and provide backup coverage for the duties of the Move-Out, Stay-Over, and Flex Attendants as needed.

Emergency Response: Be On-Call as needed. When responding to emergencies, the MA will clock in/out, and all time is considered working time.

Adherence to Standards: Perform all duties as assigned by supervision.

Minimum Qualifications: The Non-Negotiables

Proven ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance tasks.

A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and guest satisfaction.

Excellent Dependability and Sense of Urgency in meeting deadlines and responding to calls.

Willingness to perform housekeeping and laundry duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications: The Bonus Points

Prior experience in a hotel, apartment, or extended stay maintenance role.

Experience with commercial cleaning equipment (e.g., carpet shampooing machines).
