Job summary

Avion Hospitality is seeking a Laundry Attendant to maintain a steady supply of clean linens for the hotel. You will handle all stages of linen processing, transport, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, stacking, and delivering while keeping equipment and work areas clean.

The role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety rules, with the ability to lift up to 400 lbs across tasks and to work in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to convey information clearly.
• Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
• Must be able to push/pull laundry carts up to 400 lb.
• Occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer (25–150 lb).

Responsibilities

• Understand operation of washing machines and dryers.
• Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, and rags as directed by management.
• Clean dryer filter daily and maintain equipment as trained.
• Operate iron as directed and ensure it is turned off at day’s end.
• Fold linens and towels and stock linen carts as required.
• Practice safe work habits to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Sweep and mop laundry floors and store linens off the floor.
• Familiarize with Avion Hospitality policies and house rules.
• Sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts.
• Keep laundry carts clean and debris-free.
• Stock all linen closets throughout the hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
