Job summary

HM Alpha Hotels & Resorts is seeking a full-time Laundry Attendant at Marriott Del Mar to operate washers and dryers, sort and fold linens, and ensure high presentation standards. You will greet guests professionally and maintain equipment, with on-the-job training provided to learn proper handling of all laundry processes.

The role requires physical activity including standing, lifting, and bending, and offers full-time hours with a competitive California pay range.

Qualifications

• Background check required prior to employment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training provided for equipment and linens.

Responsibilities

• Operate washers, dryers, and laundry equipment according to established procedures.
• Load articles into washers with the correct amount of detergent or cleaning agent and start washing cycles.
• Transfer washed items to dryers or wringers and ensure proper drying times.
• Sort, fold, and organize laundry items according to type or identification number.
• Iron table linens and other designated items to maintain high presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of laundry equipment, lubricating and servicing machines as needed.
• Take initiative to greet guests warmly and professionally when encountered.
• Ability to perform job-related physical activities, including standing or sitting for extended periods, lifting and carrying items as needed, and performing movements such as bending, twisting, and reaching to effectively complete duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
