Job summary

The Engineer at Shaner Hotels in Daytona Beach will be responsible for upkeep, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of ice machines, refrigeration units, and air handling units across the property. The role requires strong maintenance skills and a guest-focused mindset to uphold the highest standards of service.

This full-time position includes evening, weekend, and holiday hours, with benefits. Familiarity with hotel mechanical systems and a clean driving record are preferred for

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of hotel maintenance experience; franchised hotel experience a plus.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment critical to building operation; proper chemical handling and disposal.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to interact positively with hotel personnel and provide prompt solutions to problems.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities
