Job summary

Choctaw Nation is seeking a Hotel Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and appearance of hotel rooms and facilities. Reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager. Start rate of $15.50 per hour with part-time, full-time, temp and PRN on-call options.

Ability to work holidays and weekends is required. Responsibilities include stocking supplies, cleaning rooms and areas, operating cleaning equipment, handling waste, windows and surfaces, and addressing guest inquiries.

Qualifications

• Prior Environmental Services/Housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
• Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of chemical processes and transformations they undergo (includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods).
• Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and basic maintenance.
• General knowledge of cleaning requirements in the hospitality industry
• Understand government public health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Stock housekeeping supplies when delivered.
• Apply cleaning solvents to clean rooms or work areas; including move or lift objects to do so.
• Operate cleaning equipment to clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, Casino floor, and other areas.
• Empty wastebaskets, and empty and clean ashtrays; transport trash and waste to disposal area.
• Wash windows and sills, door panels, walls, ceiling and woodwork.
• Clean biohazard material.
• Answer or direct customer inquiries to the appropriate department when needed.
• Immediately clean or correct problem areas.
• Perform other responsibilities may be assigned.
