Mesquite Gaming Employment Center is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor to oversee hourly front line hotel staff on a relief basis and assist management in daily operations across Mesquite Gaming properties.
The role requires prior hotel or management experience, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays. Knowledge of English communication and adherence to procedures is essential.
18 years old
State of Nevada Gaming Permit, if at least 21 years old
Supervise front line hotel employees on a relief basis and/or as directed by management. Manage the daily operation of the Front Desk for all Mesquite Gaming properties on a relief basis and/or as directed by management.
Enroll guests in the company’s players rewards program and issue player cards.
6 months previous management and/or hotel experience required. Quality control, customer relations and ability to follow procedures required. Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate English. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions required. Basic math and computer skills required. Must be able to work any shift, weekends and holidays.
Extensive time spent sitting and standing. There may be some walking; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations, etc. The work area is indoors. The work environment involves exposure to secondhand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
