Job summary

Holiday Inn Express - Wilmington Medical District seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the safe operation and upkeep of the hotel's facilities and equipment. You will handle routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and responsiveness to requests from guests and staff.

The role requires experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
• Proven maintenance technician experience in hospitality or facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and repair issues from guests or staff.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs to restore functionality.
• Assist with installation and replacement of fixtures and equipment as needed.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and hotel policies.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and inventory usage.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and front desk to schedule maintenance.
