Job summary

StepStone Hospitality is seeking an Engineering Technician II to perform skilled maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks across the hotel, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and equipment operate safely and efficiently.

The role requires hands-on hotel maintenance experience, independent troubleshooting, and ability to work with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, painting, and other trades; good safety practices and collaborative coordination with Housekeeping and Front Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hotel, commercial building, apartment, facilities, or similar maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Read and understand equipment instructions, safety procedures, and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and hotel facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, including PTAC units and other hotel heating and cooling systems.
• Perform basic to intermediate electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, breakers, and related equipment.
• Perform plumbing repairs, including toilets, faucets, sinks, drains, valves, fixtures, and minor leaks.
• Complete general carpentry, drywall, painting, caulking, tile, hardware, door, lock, and furniture repairs.
• Diagnose maintenance issues and determine the appropriate repair or corrective action.
