Job summary

Onni Group in Seattle is seeking a Hotel Engineer to perform diversified duties including troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of residential units and property facilities, ensuring safety and quality across our properties.

You will respond promptly to work orders, diagnose HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, coordinate with supervisors and contractors, and provide excellent guest service while meeting health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of building maintenance or related experience preferred.
• HVAC, Appliance, or Electrical certifications preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office).
• Team oriented and able to work independently.
• Must have flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work order requests promptly and professionally.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, appliances, electrical, plumbing, pool equipment, carpentry, drywall, and exterior grounds.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on building equipment.
• Ensure unit turnovers are completed in a timely manner.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests for quality living experience.
• Provide on-call maintenance during scheduled emergencies.
• Oversee contractor work for completeness.
• Communicate maintenance status with supervisor.
• Comply with national standards and safety regulations.

Job Description: The Hotel Engineer is responsible for performing highly diversified duties such as troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential units and property facilities according to safety practices, predictive and preventative maintenance systems and processes to achievement business goals and objectives.

What You Will Do:

• Ensures that work order requests are responded to promptly and professionally.
• Completes diagnoses and repairs in the areas of HVAC, appliances, electrical, plumbing, pool equipment, carpentry, dry wall, exterior of building and grounds.
• Schedules, monitors and performs preventative maintenance on all building equipment.
• Ensures all unit turnovers are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Responsible for providing excellent customer service to all guest to promote a quality living experience for all guests.
• Provides on-call services when scheduled to perform emergency maintenance work.
• Oversees contractor work for proper completeness.
• Communicates with supervisor regarding the overall maintenance function of the property.
• Complies with all Company National Standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws.

What You Bring:

• High school diploma/GED.
• 2 years of building maintenance or experience in a related field preferred.
• HCAV, Appliance, or Electrical certifications preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft office, etc.)
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Must have a flexible schedule with ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary Range: $30/hr
