  • Comfortable using a computer to communicate, process invoices, and manage maintenance documents/logs.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on hotel systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and spa amenities.
  • Assist with daily hot tub chemical testing and balancing under supervision.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in guest rooms and public areas.
  • Complete basic repairs such as patching, painting, fixture replacement, and minor plumbing.
  • Log and track maintenance tasks in the internal work order system.
  • Assist with property inspections to identify maintenance needs.
  • Support snow removal, landscaping, and seasonal prep as needed.
  • Handle waste disposal including trash, recycling, and electronic waste.
  • Collaborate with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and F&B to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Communicate professionally with guests when responding to room issues.
  • Follow safety procedures and property standards.

As a Hotel Engineer I, you’ll play a hands‑on role in ensuring the Gravity Haus property operates safely, smoothly, and sustainably. From troubleshooting and repairs to preventive maintenance and guest interaction, you’re a behind‑the‑scenes hero who makes exceptional stays possible.

This role is perfect for someone who is eager to learn, dependable, and takes pride in supporting a well‑maintained guest environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on hotel systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and spa amenities.
  • Assist with daily hot tub chemical testing and balancing under supervision.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in guest rooms and public areas.

Operational Support

Who You are

Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and kneeling throughout shift
  • Able to respond quickly to emergencies and reach all areas of the hotel
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
