Job summary

The Hampton Inn Viera is seeking a Custodian / Houseperson to keep public areas clean and support the housekeeping team. You’ll help with daily tasks to ensure a welcoming, spotless environment for guests and staff, including light maintenance when needed.

This role values reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. High school diploma is preferred but not required; prior housekeeping experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning public spaces: lobbies, elevators, restrooms, hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and pool deck.
• Emptying trash and maintaining cleanliness in all guest-facing and back-of-house areas.
• Delivering and collecting linens and assisting with stocking supply rooms.
• Helping housekeepers with tasks such as making beds or flipping mattresses.
• Performing light maintenance tasks (e.g., plunging toilets, replacing showerheads or AC units).
• Delivering guest amenities like cribs and rollaways.
• Identifying and reporting any safety hazards or repair needs.
• Completing a task checklist and walkthrough with a manager at the end of each shift.
• Assisting with special projects and stepping in where needed.
