Highgate Hotels in New York City's Times Square area is seeking a Barista to take orders and craft coffee, tea, and other beverages to guest specifications. You will operate cash registers and POS systems to ensure smooth service while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

The position stresses calm handling during busy periods, strict adherence to safety standards, and teamwork to train new partners and uphold recipe and presentation standards across all drinks and snacks served

Responsibilities

• Takes orders and makes coffee, tea, and other drinks to guest specifications.
• Operates cash registers and credit card machines and processes transactions.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during high volume periods to set a positive example.
• Communicates guest and store needs to management for timely response.
• Delivers outstanding customer service with a customer-first attitude.
• Adheres to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Maintains a clean, organized workspace and inventory awareness.
• Attends required meetings and trainings and supports team development.
• Works weekends and adheres to scheduling requirements.
