Job summary

IHG is seeking a bartender to warmly welcome guests, prepare drinks to high standards, and work with restaurant colleagues to deliver seamless service. You will stock, maintain and secure the bar, handle payments, and stay compliant with safety rules.

Qualifications

• Fitness – you’ll be on your feet most of the day with lots of bending and kneeling.
• Strength – lift, push and pull barrels and crates up to 50lbs (23 kg).
• Literate – reading, writing and basic maths required.
• Flexible – night, weekend and holiday shifts are part of the job.
• Experienced – ability to prepare a wide range of drinks, ideally with formal training.
• Compliant – comply with laws on food handling and alcohol, fluent in local language.
• Articulate – warm, welcoming communicator.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm welcome and set the tone for guest experience.
• Prepare and serve drinks to high standards and highlight promotions.
• Collaborate with restaurant staff for seamless food service.
• Set up bar, stock supplies, manage inventory and equipment.
• Change beer barrels and maintain bar cleanliness.
• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Look smart in uniform and be ready for ad-hoc duties.
• Follow safety procedures.
